How to Make Money in Net a Fish
Your fish can keep earning after you reel them in. This Net a Fish how to make money guide centers on a simple loop: showcase your strongest fish, collect their cash, and reinvest in fishing upgrades. Building that recurring income helps you afford new equipment without relying entirely on selling catches.
The showcase at your base generates cash every second from the fish you display. Selling fish gives you a separate, immediate payout, so manage both sides of your collection.
Start with this routine:
- Cast your net and reel in your catch.
- Open the cooler and use Equip Best to place your strongest available fish in the showcase.
- Collect the cash your displayed fish generate.
- Review spare fish for fusion or sale.
- Spend on an upgrade that improves your current fishing limits.
Keep casting while your showcase earns. New catches give you more opportunities to replace weaker displayed fish and collect species rewards.

Keep Strong Earners, Then Sell Spare Fish
Before selling a catch, compare it with the fish already earning money at your base. Check its displayed income, especially when deciding whether to replace an existing showcase fish.

Use Equip Best after a promising haul, then inspect your lineup. That extra check helps you avoid leaving a stronger earner sitting in the cooler.
Fuse duplicates before clearing your inventory
Fusion gives duplicate fish another use. The fusion chain includes 10 fish into Shiny, followed by 8 Shiny into Gold.
Review the fusion preview before selling a stack. After fusing, use Equip Best again and check whether the result belongs in your showcase.
Set Auto Sell around what you still need
The cooler has Auto Sell controls with rarity selections. Set those controls only after deciding which catches you want to keep for display or fusion.
Start with lower rarities that no longer improve your collection. Raise the cutoff as your showcase improves, and review the selected rarities before leaving it running. A broad selling setting can work against your plans to build duplicate stacks.
Buy Net Upgrades That Remove a Limit
Open Upgrades → Nets and compare your equipped net with the next available purchase. Read the card’s capacity, width, rarity limit, price, and prerequisite together.

Each property answers a different question:
- Capacity: Does your net fill before you want to reel it in?
- Width or area: Would more coverage help you reach passing fish?
- Up-to rarity: Can your current net catch the rarity you are targeting?
- Prerequisite: Do you own the previous required net?
A larger net and a higher rarity limit solve different problems. Buy capacity when your net fills quickly; pursue a higher rarity cap when your target fish exceeds the current limit.
For example, the Celestial Net has a card showing 170 capacity, 38.5 ft width, and an up-to Demigod limit. Those are separate attributes, so compare the actual changes on the next card instead of judging an upgrade by its name.
If a purchase stays locked despite having enough cash, read its prerequisite. Functional net progression follows a purchase chain, and Net Skins have a separate control.
Upgrade Helpers Alongside Your Net
The Fisherman, Boat, and Spear Gun catch fish alongside your own net. The Boat is a fishing helper, so put its upgrades toward improving its catches.
For the Fisherman, compare these controls:
| Upgrade | What it changes |
|---|---|
| Fishing Rod | Improves the rarity of fish the helper can reel in |
| Bigger Bucket | Increases fish returned per catch |
| Quick Hands | Shortens the interval between catches |
| Range | Extends casts, with a better chance of bigger fish |
Match each purchase to the result you need. Choose Quick Hands to shorten the wait between catches, or Bigger Bucket to increase the number brought back per catch.
Check your helpers again after progressing through rebirths, which open access to more upgrades. Keep their catches moving while you manage the net and showcase.
Collect Quest and Index Rewards
Open the quest menu and claim completed objectives. Check the Index after discovering new species, too: its claimable rewards include cash that can help fund another upgrade.
Include these checks between fishing runs:
- Claim completed quests.
- Collect available Index rewards.
- Open available free gifts and daily rewards.
- Use available spins.
Spins can award cash or pearls. Keep those currencies separate when planning purchases: a pearl reward does not increase the cash available for a net.
Claim rewards before deciding that your next upgrade requires another long stretch of fishing. A completed Index reward can already be waiting in the menu.
Read Rebirth Requirements Before Spending
Rebirth unlocks new worlds and bigger rewards, and the skill tree provides another place to spend progression points. Rebirthing resets your money, so check the requirements and rewards before confirming.
Cash is only part of the requirement at some stages. Fish-count requirements also appear, so inspect every condition on the rebirth screen.
When cash is ready but your fish count is short, keep casting and compare upgrades that increase catch quantity or speed. Once you rebirth, revisit the skill tree and spend available points on the options you want to develop.
Avoid buying an expensive upgrade immediately before resetting without checking what you still need to complete that rebirth.
What Paid Money and Automation Passes Change
Robux passes affect income, collection, or fishing convenience in different ways. Compare the specific benefit before purchasing:
- 2x Money — 399 Robux: Doubles money from showcased fish.
- Auto Collect — 49 Robux: Automatically collects showcase money.
- Auto Throw — 29 Robux: Automatically casts your net while you are inside your base.
- Extra Showcase (+3 slots) — 299 Robux: Adds three showcase slots.
- Big Net — 149 Robux: Increases net size by 50%.
- Turbo Helpers — 499 Robux: Makes the Fisherman, Boat, and Spear Gun work 50% faster and bring in double the fish.
Auto Collect handles collection; 2x Money increases showcase earnings. Auto Throw handles casting within your base, while Big Net changes net size.
Extra Showcase creates room for additional earners. Before buying it, check whether you already have spare fish worth displaying. For helper-focused spending, compare Turbo Helpers with the upgrades available through ordinary gameplay, then choose the benefit you actually want.
