Which Pet Should You Equip?
For your Net a Fish best pets setup, compare money bonuses before choosing your companion. Pets hunt fish for you and contribute a money bonus, giving them a practical role in your fishing setup.
Compare the bonuses on the pets you own, then equip the one with the larger bonus if increasing income is your goal. Keep that comparison separate from the value of the fish in your pool: pets help catch fish, while showcased fish generate cash every second.
Your other fish-catching tools include the Fisherman, Boat, and Spear Gun. These have their own upgrades and passes. Turbo Helpers costs 499 Robux and makes those three helpers work 50% faster while bringing in double the fish. Keep those effects separate when comparing a helper upgrade with another equipped pet: the extra pet slot specifically adds a second companion and its money bonus.
Helpers Luck also costs 499 Robux and gives 2x luck to the Spear Gun, Fisherman, and Boat. Its named targets matter when planning a purchase. Compare those helper effects with the extra slot’s two stated benefits—another pet hunting fish and an additional money bonus—before choosing where to spend Robux.

Ocean and Abyss Crates
You hatch pets from Ocean Crates and Abyss Crates. An Abyss Crate can produce an Epic pet, so opening one does not automatically give you its highest-rarity companion.

After each hatch, compare the new pet’s money bonus with your equipped companion before making a replacement. Use the actual bonus to guide an income-focused choice rather than choosing by appearance alone.
Keep your pet decisions connected to your showcase. Since displayed fish earn money every second, review your pool when you catch something valuable and replace lower-earning fish with higher-earning catches.
Ocean Crates also appear among the Kraken-related benefits of Boss Hunter, a 249 Robux pass. Its Kraken bonuses are 1.5x cash, a 50% mini kraken chance, and a 35% bonus Ocean Crate chance. Those are separate rewards: the crate-related benefit is the bonus Ocean Crate chance, while the cash multiplier affects the Kraken cash reward.
Compare that purchase with the extra pet slot by looking at what each actually changes. Boss Hunter includes an Ocean Crate chance benefit tied to the Kraken; the slot lets you use two pets together. Keep the hatch decision separate from the equip decision, too: opening a crate produces a companion, while the additional slot changes how many companions you can have out.
What the Extra Pet Slot Adds
The +1 Pet Slot pass costs 399 Robux and lets you have two pets equipped at once. Both companions hunt fish, and the second pet’s money bonus adds to the first pet’s bonus.

That makes it a different purchase from the equally priced 2x Money pass:
| Game Pass | Price | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| +1 Pet Slot | 399 Robux | Equip two pets; both hunt fish, and their money bonuses add together |
| 2x Money | 399 Robux | Doubles money earned from showcased fish |
The extra slot adds another active companion and another pet money bonus. The money pass increases earnings from your showcase.
Before buying the extra slot, compare the two pets you would equip together. Add their money bonuses when evaluating the pair; the second companion’s bonus is additive. If you are choosing between these passes, decide whether you want another fish-hunting pet or doubled showcase earnings.
Other purchases affect different parts of that fishing-and-income loop. Auto Throw costs 29 Robux and automatically casts your net while you are inside your base. Auto Collect costs 49 Robux and collects money from your showcase automatically. Compare those actions with the pet slot’s effects: automatic casting, collecting showcase earnings, and equipping another companion each address a separate part of your setup.
Extra Showcase (+3 slots) costs 299 Robux and adds three showcase slots at your base. Those spaces hold showcased fish, whose income arrives every second. Count pet slots and showcase slots separately when planning your purchases: the pet pass supports two active companions, while Extra Showcase adds room for three more displayed fish. Match the purchase to the part of your setup you want to expand.
